Approx. 20 hours per week.
Program Coordinators report to The Launch Pad Program Director.
Program Coordinators plan, organize, ensure the execution of, and participate in daily
programming during drop-in hours at the Launch Pad Teen Center, as well as ensure the
facilitation staff is completing all daily tasks such as running the daily shuttle, afternoon circle,
any cleaning that needs to be done, and are following all policies and procedures while working
with teens. The Launch Pad drop-in hours are designed to offer teens a wonderful place
outside of school, home, or work where they can relax, breathe freely, and have fun! We give
them the opportunity to participate in programming that helps facilitate social/emotional growth
and 21st-century skills, as well as the time and support to develop their own programming that
centers on building community and civic engagement! A successful coordinator will work
closely with the facilitators and teens to design programs that are interesting, topical, and fun,
as well as work closely with the Program Director to act as the first level of supervisor for
facilitation staff so as to ensure efficiency in the space through delegation and discipline. This
position is for someone who is highly motivated, self-directed, energetic, committed to the
“Kids at Hope” philosophy, creative, and excited to learn about the unique practices The
Launch Pad uses in helping youth become more fully themselves.
The responsibilities for this position include the following:
Maintain the daily schedule.
Act as liaison between Program Director and facilitation staff.
Design + manage daily program calendar.
Manage initial disciplinary actions for teens.
Communicate with parents during dropoff/pickup, and over the phone.
Perform outreach to community members for daily and weekly activities.
Manage facilitators to ensure all Launch Pad staff policies are followed, ensure all daily
cleaning is completed by staff, ensure the daily shuttle schedule is followed.
Attend approx. 5 TLP events per semester.
Act as a mandatory reporter.
And other duties as assigned.
Experience required for this position include:
Experience working with adolescents and ideally experience in coaching/mentoring/tutoring
Leadership and Volunteer Experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
A Finger Print Clearance Card.
A Background Check (conducted through The Launch Pad Teen Center).
Kolbe MO Assessment (provided by The Launch Pad Teen Center).
