Do you have a passion for making a real impact in your community and love working with kids? Join MATFORCE as a Health Educator!
At MATFORCE, we're dedicated to preventing substance use and building stronger, healthier communities where everyone, especially kids and families, can thrive. As a Health Educator, you'll be on the front lines, leading engaging and interactive drug prevention lessons in schools and at community events.
This is more than just a job; it's a chance to be a part of a dynamic team that's creating real, lasting change. If you're an outgoing, creative, and collaborative person who enjoys public speaking and connecting with people, you'll fit right in.
What You'll Do
- Lead fun, interactive drug prevention lessons for students in classrooms.
- Assist with the Yavapai County Youth Council (YC2) meetings and activities.
- Represent MATFORCE at community events and outreach initiatives.
- Collaborate with your team to develop and implement new educational strategies.
- Support a variety of community-focused projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
- A people person with a passion for helping others and an ability to connect with diverse groups.
- Strong communication skills and comfort speaking in front of a group.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to think outside the box.
- An associate's degree in education, counseling, or a related field is a plus, but we value your skills and passion above all else.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel around the community (company cars are available, and mileage is reimbursed).
- The ability to lift up to 25 pounds (our educational materials can be a bit heavy!).
If you're ready to make a difference and be part of a team that's changing lives, we want to hear from you.
